Concert Series

Music Ministries at South Church is dedicated to bringing high quality concerts to Manchester at affordable prices.
For the 2008-2009 season, the South United Methodist Concert Series will have a new look. Rather than being part of a patron series, each  concerts will be a “stand alone” event. With the increase demands on the resources of our patrons due to the high cost of living, It is hoped that  the new format will be easier on household budgets. It is anticipated that there will be five concerts throughout the season.

The first concert will be the 85th Anual  Christmas Candlelight Concert which will feature Parts I and II of Bach's Christmas Oratorio with the Chancel Concert Choir and soiloists Christine Fazzina, Cindy Trenholm, Brian Mohr and Cal Beggs. The program will also include familiar carols and anthems performed by the choir and soloists Judy Loven, Cathy Nystrom and Tim Reid The program will conclude with three anthems by the Wesley Ringers Handbell Choir.

There is no admission charge.  A free will offering will benefit the ministries of the church.
