A variety of adult study groups are offered throughout the year. Some people are able to make a long term commitment to a study, and some are not. This is reflected in our various groups; some of our groups require no preparation, while others will require signing up and weekly readings. All these possibilities ensure you will find a group the meets your needs.
Sunday Morning Studies
Beginning September 14th
Sundays, 10:30 - 11:30am
Sermon Discussion Group – Does Sunday morning’s sermon leave you with questions and wanting more? This on-going weekly group will meet in Pastor Mark’s office and have an informal discussion based on the sermon preached at the 8am and 9:30am services. Starting at 10:45am, you will have plenty of time to get a cup of coffee before the discussion begins. This group is lead by a rotating group of facilitators. It will be a great opportunity to share your thoughts!
Study on Prayer - In this study of prayer we will be looking at various aspects of praying. We will be discussing topics such as: what we believe about prayer, images of God, and praying all ways and always. We will also be exploring different types of prayer such as: intercessory prayer, body prayer, centering prayer, and lectio divina. Hopefully, this study will help us to discover and or deepen the life-filling richness of prayer in our lives. This group is led by Carolyn Gray and will meet in the Scout Room.
Friday Morning Bible Study
This weekly study, led by Pastor Mark, meets in the Education Wing at 9:30am (September – June). The group focuses on various books of the Bible. If you are interested, call the church office to find out what book the class is currently studying, or just drop-in!
