The mission of the South UMC Parish Nurse Ministry is to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual health among the church members. ROLES OF THE PARISH NURSE
Spiritual Support
- Nurses may provide presence and prayers during a health crisis
Personal Health Counseling
- Nurses may meet privately with parishioners to help them make informed health decision.
Advocacy
- Nurses may provide information and support regarding available parish and community services.
Education
- Nurses may provide speakers and programs of interest to parishioners.

- Coordinate meals and transportation during recovery periods
